#3 – PAT SURTAIN II WINS NFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, CEMENTS LEGACY IN BRONCOS HISTORY

Pat Surtain II has been named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) after a dominant 2024 season, becoming just the seventh cornerback in history to win the award and the first Bronco since Randy Gradishar in 1978. The All-Pro shutdown corner allowed just 35 catches on 56 targets, held top receivers like Travis Kelce and Ja’Marr Chase to a 8.3 passer rating when targeted, and recorded four interceptions and 11 pass breakups. His elite play helped Denver lead the NFL in sacks and return to the postseason at 10-7. Fresh off a $96 million extension, Surtain has solidified himself as the best cornerback in franchise history and a future Hall of Famer.

#4 – BILL KOCH LISTS LUXURIOUS 52-ACRE ASPEN ESTATE FOR $125 MILLION

Billionaire Bill Koch’s Elk Mountain Lodge, a 52-acre estate just 10 miles from Aspen, is on the market for $125 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. Nestled in a scenic valley at the foot of the Elk Mountains, the retreat features a 16,600-square-foot main homeseven guest cabins, and 14 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms spread across 25,300 square feet. The estate also boasts horse stables, a full-size indoor basketball court, a wine cellar, a gym, and private hiking and cross-country ski trails. Koch purchased the property in 2007 for $26.5 million, later adding 31 acres, though he sold that parcel in 2020 for $14.5 million. The remaining property has since been on and off the rental market, commanding $35,000 per night, making it a rare multi-generational legacy retreat in Aspen.

#5 – SHOW YOUR HOME SOME LOVE THIS VALENTINE’S MONTH

February isn’t just about showing love to the special people in your life—it’s also the perfect time to give your home a little extra attention. Whether you’re looking to refresh your space or make small improvements, here are five ways to show your home some love this Valentine’s Month.

  • Deep Clean and Declutter – A clean and organized home instantly feels more inviting. Take time to declutter spaces, donate unused items, and give your home a thorough deep clean to create a fresh and relaxing environment.

  • Upgrade Your Lighting – Swap out old light bulbs for warm, energy-efficient ones or add soft lighting like string lights or candles to create a cozy ambiance. A well-lit space can make your home feel more welcoming and comfortable.

  • Refresh Your Decor – Small changes like new throw pillows, fresh flowers, or seasonal decor can bring new life to your space. Consider updating your bedding or rearranging furniture to give your home a fresh, new look.

  • Pamper Your Home with Maintenance – Show your home some TLC by tackling minor repairs like fixing leaky faucets, tightening loose cabinet handles, or servicing your HVAC system. Keeping up with maintenance now can prevent costly repairs down the road.

  • Create a Relaxing Space – Whether it’s a cozy reading nook, a spa-like bathroom upgrade, or a comfy outdoor seating area, carve out a special space where you can unwind and enjoy your home to the fullest.

Giving your home some love this Valentine’s Month doesn’t require major renovations—small improvements and thoughtful touches can make all the difference. By taking the time to refresh, clean, and maintain your space, you’ll create a home that feels warm, inviting, and filled with love all year round.
